Earth Day 2019. The other day I was at the beach with my friend and this lady next to us was walking her dog, picking up pieces of plastic around her. I thought this was so cool and started thinking like if people just helped out by simply cleaning up their own mess or throwing their trash where it belongs this problem could be reduced. It is nice to see that the ocean's plastic problem is being brought to attention and the beginning of banning plastic has started. I work at a restaurant and I love when people tell me that they don't need a straw, plastic bags, or styrofoam box. Its cool because this is hopefully the beginning of a huge change. Everyone posts shit for Earth Day saying they love the earth and we need to take care of it. Y es, it is being brought to attention more so in the past year, and everyone may be saying this from the heart, but instead of everyone SAYING shit they need to DO. Imagine if everyone started focusing on their plastic usage and their recycling, big changes would happen. God's creation is amazing, but we don't get a second Earth! We need to take care of the home that He made for us.

The sweetest most loving animals. Yet they are the top predator of the ocean. Orcas are so playful and friendly and have not been known to harm a human while in their natural home. The only times that these babies have been looked at as "dangerous" is when they are locked up, apart from their families, and forced to entertain. Ahh what I would do to meet one.

Hawaii is on its way to being the first state to completely ban plastic in restaurants! This is so cool. Its almost as if Hawaii is one step ahead of us and it low key makes me wanna move there lol. They are so aware of the ocean and what products , such as sunscreen, affect the reefs and the animals. This is so cool because now that one state is this close to banning plastic, this will hopefully spread and create more awareness elsewhere. This is the link to these metal straws from Klean Kanteen, the bombast straws I am literally obsessed and take them everywhere with me, and through drive throughs so you don't need to get a plastic one. See, one step at a time. If everyone changed their habits a little , it would make even the slightest difference. We need to step it up, because the sea babies are paying the consequences and its not effing fair. https://www.kleankanteen.com/products/5-piece-straw-set-multi-color
This grey whale was found in the bay area in the first week of april. Lately there have been more grey whales spotted in the bay area, which in this case is not good because this baby ( 1 year old male ) seemed to have passed due to malnutrition. Ugh this breaks my heart, there have been multiple washed up whales recently. Especially due to Plastic. Which is the main problem right now. Its good to see people slowly raising awareness of the usage of plastic and littering. Yesterday I was watching a video on twitter of a girl shotgunning a beer on a boat and throwing the can in the ocean like it was nothing but natural to do. How did the ocean become such a dump. Humans are our biggest enemy! One whale was found a couple weeks ago with 40 kilograms of plastic in it's stomach. Thats 88 lbs.  These animals are paying the price for our carelessness. https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/18/asia/dead-whale-philippines-40kg-plastic-stomach-intl-scli/index.html
